Why Mounted Search and Rescue?
 

A horse can move more quickly and further than a searcher on foot. This enables us to potentially reach a victim quicker than non-mounted rescuers.

Horses can transport more gear than people can.  

Horses are quieter and ATVs, so we can hear people calling out for help.

Horses provide us with a tremendous field of vision. If you're on the ground you can't see nearly as far as you can when mounted on top of a horse.

Don't Ride?  We still need members to man the command post and support the riders!
